Antville Macros
<% colorpicker %>

This macro displays a small square box filled with the defined color. Clicking on the square will open a popup-window with the colorpicker to change the color (of course you can always enter the color-code by hand too).

To see how it works check the color definitions in the preferences of your weblog.

You can also use this macro to customize your stories' color settings (please refer to the documention about the content macro for a general introduction to antville's story model).

In your story editor skin simply add the following macro:

<% colorpicker name="color" %>

Then, insert the corresponding content macro in the story display skin, right at the spot to control the color style, e.g.:

<span class="storytitle" style="color: #<% story.content part="color" %>;"><% story.title %></span>

From now on your story titles should individually appear in the color you have selected from within the story editor.

<% storylist %>

This macro loops over the stories of a weblog and displays each of them as a link to the main view of the story. The simplest way to use this macro is:

<% storylist %>

To get an unordered list of story-links use the following:

<% storylist prefix="<ul>" suffix="</ul>" itemprefix="<li>" itemsuffix="</li>" %>

Each item in the list will either consist of the story-title or the first few words of the text (if neither is available the macro will display three dots instead), linking to the story itself.

With the option limit you can decrease the number of stories that will appear in this list, eg. limit="10" (the maximum is 25).

This macro has also a special option called of. With this you can get a list of stories from a different weblog, e.g.

<% storylist of="project" limit="10" prefix="<ul>" suffix="</ul>" itemprefix="<li>" itemsuffix="</li>" %>

will render the last 10 stories of project.antville.org as unordered list.

<% username %>

This macro displays the name of the user, but only if the user is logged in. If the user has defined a personal URL in her profile the name will appear as link, otherwise as plain text.

In case the user is anonymous this macro displays nothing.

<% story %>

With this macro you can embed a story somewhere in a skin. The basic usage is simple:

<% story id="1234" %>

You can change the way this story will appear by editing the story-skin "embed" (which is the default-skin used by this macro) or you can define a different skin to be rendered like this:

<% story id="1234" skin="preview" %>

This will display the story in the same way stories are rendered in a list.

<% now %>

This macro does what you expect: it returns the current date and time. For more information about how to format see date and time.
